Free Video Course Teaches Struggling Musicians and Songwriters How to Make Money in Music Business
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) November 5, 2008 -- David Hooper of IndieMusician.com, who has helped to market such iconic acts as No Doubt, Bush, Blue Oyster Cult, Marcy Playground, and Run-DMC, is giving something back to independent musicians, bands, and songwriters. David Hooper, founder of IndieMusician.com, and host of the syndicated radio show Music Business Radio, which features interviews with top music industry professionals, has been active in the online music business community since 1995 and has founded dozens of sites to help independent musicians, bands, and songwriters, including MusicMarketing.com.
"Most musicians feel they can't afford me," Hooper explains. "Many want to hire me, even though I only take on new clients by referral. This is a way to give back to the musicians who helped me to get my start in this business."
To educate musicians about new opportunities in the music business, specifically film and television music licensing, Hooper has released a new video course, which documents behind the scenes of the music publishing business and shows indie musicians and songwriters how to make money by licensing music to films, television shows, video games, and commercials. This course is free of charge and available at IndieMusician.com.
Hooper elaborates, "Some people think the music business is dead. It's not dead, but it is changing. I want to keep upcoming musicians, bands, and songwriters on top of these changes."
